Hello S4 Leaguers!

The world of S4 League is filled with creativity, and one particularly quick rising star is a video series made by Outkast and hollowz, called Onen. On ChannelS5, we'll be publishing updates as to when the latest episode will be coming out on the front page. Don't miss out on this creative spark!

Onen, the series title character and protagonist, is new to the world of S4 League and is trying to find his spot in the competitive scene.
Here at S5, we bring you an exclusive interview with series creator Outkast. Read on to see what he has to say!

What inspired you to create Onen?
hollowz did actually. He said, “We should make a series”, so I said “Let’s make a series, is that what you really want?” And he replied, “Yeah I think so”. And then I just started writing ^^

How much work goes into creating an episode of Onen?
OH…MY...GOD
First we have to get everyone dressed, and it’s like being in a dressing room for an hour. Once that’s done we start the room, and because of the outfit delay these days everyone has to leave and come back in a certain order, so that when I’m recording I can see everyone’s outfit. That takes about 10 minutes if it’s done quickly…it’s taken longer. Once everyone is in their outfits and ready to go, and all visible, we start recording the action. That takes about 2-4 hours depending on how much we’re recording. That’s all the in-game stuff.

The voice recordings take a few days max because everyone has to get them done at their own pace to make sure they’re 100% audible. So once that’s all knocked out, I go into Sony Vegas and take around 10 hours editing everything.

THEN the project is sent to Hollowz to add effects when they’re needed. Then he sends it back and I finalize it and make sure everything is OK.

Then we wait for it to render, and then we upload it.

In other words, it takes A LOT of work.

How many episodes ahead have you planned out and written?
We have all three seasons planned out.
Season 1 which we just finished. Season 2 which is the upcoming one.
And Season 3. Six episodes per season.

Is Onen going to end after the three seasons are over?
We actually haven’t decided. But trust that season 3 will be very climactic either way.

OK this next question is one I’m sure will be popular. Do you ever plan on releasing the names of the songs you use in Onen?
Haha yeah, people ask for those a lot!
We actually plan on adding the names of the songs IN the episodes whenever they start to play.

What about the songs for episodes that have already passed?
Just like an anime we have certain themes for certain areas and characters, so all the songs will be reused at one point or another.

Could you give us a bit of information on what we can expect in the next few episodes?
Hmm well Onen isn’t any specific genre, so I really want everyone to expect the unexpected. The upcoming season will be anything and everything people would want in a show, that much we can promise.

Thanks for taking the time to chat Outkast.

There you have it!
Currently there are five episodes of Onen released.
