It's fast paced just as they stated, matches last about 10-20 minutes, I'd say the average match length is about 17 minutes.
Heroes start off at level 3, with 1375 gold, if I recall correctly.
All heroes have a permanent buff placed upon them which grants magic penetration, armor penetration a passive exp gain and one other thing i dont remember now.
This passive exp gain buff and the fact that minions are mostly ignored makes it so that in MOST of the games, the levels are pretty much even all over the board, but sometimes it's possible that one team outlevels the other, if they manage to outkill them a lot.
Also the gold gain per second is now 3! so 3 gold per second for every player.
Hero kills award 100 gold normally, with additional gold reward for assist, should a killstreak be ended the reward is a LOT higher, but it's also quite hard to get a killstreak, since there are so many skirmishes and you will sometimes throw your life away just to protect a resource point.
The game mode also introduces a new type of minions, they are a melee and a tad larger than the normal minions we are used to, they reward more gold than the normal melee minions(actually the double amount) and are respectively stronger. Somehow it's possible to spawn super minions as well, but just a single wave of those will spawn and I haven't quite gotten behind the mechanic of those things.
Most of the time, minions will not be interacting with the gameplay at all, but under certain circumstances they can really be a bother when defending or attacking a resource point.
The 5 resource points can be either neutral, friendly or hostile, They all start at a neutral state and the teams then take them over in order to destroy the other teams nexus.
The nexus has 500 HP initially and it requires your team to have more resource points than the other team to wittle down the opposing nexus' hp. This means that, in theory, a game is not over even when the difference in Nexus HP is something like 250 points, if you can just manage to defend your resource points, your Nexus will not be damaged and the game can easily be turned around.
After about 10 minutes of playing time, both teams get a "Quest" That quest is to conquer a certain resource point under enemy control. Whichever team manages to do so first, gets a one minute 10% damage buff and damages the opposing teams nexus, I don't know for how much though.
The Fog of War is also changed in this Gamemode, there are certain areas that are ALWAYS visible, and there are other areas that cannot be seen unless you or a teammate go there or wards are placed.
Spread out across the maps, or more specifically, behind every resource point and in the middle of the maps are spawnpoints for medikit-like-powerups, they heal you for a small amount, but it's not static amount, maybe it scales with max hp or maybe it increases as time passes by during the match.
After about 10 minutes so called relics will spawn in the center of the map. Those relics can be acquired by channeling them for about 3 seconds or something, if you acquire a relic a regenerating shield will be placed upon your hero, which passively damages other heroes nearby every time you use a skill and also increases ur total damage done by 10% and increases the character models size quite a bit.
Another notable thing is, that some items are blocked from use in the dominion mode, for example all the elixirs. There might be others but I didn't browse the whole shop.
Also, apparently the bloodthirster(and maybe other items) will see a rework. The bloodthirster was removed from the shop on the Gamescom and instead ( with the same cost and item prerequisites) there was another bloody sword granting 60 attackdamage and lifesteal, but instead of the stacking damage increase it had a unique passive that would increase your damage by 5 for every hit you do and stacks a number of times(I don't recall how many times but I'm kinda guessing 8) for some seconds.
Another notable item addition is Odyn's Veil, if I recall correctly, this item requires the same items as a banshee's veil to be built and also grants hp,mp and magic resist to the player who holds it, but instead of the spellshield it has a mechanic to passively convert magic damage you take and store it( I don't think it shields from magic damage,I'm not sure about the mechanic though.). The stored energy can then be released to deal damage equal to the amount of magic damage absorbed(maximum 400 dmg) in an area, probably similar to blitzcranks ultimate, tho It doesn't silence.
This is pretty much everything I recall right now, but maybe I can tell you more if you ask any questions.
Oh also, Mordekaiser WILL be nerfed next patch.
Sorry for this wall of text, I just wrote it all down randomly as it came to mind, doh.
