Talking in skype, mentioned that we should start practicing without AP. Response?

Explained to them about how it can help us be a better clan. All of a sudden, they think I'm calling them bad. I don't know if I regret not actually saying that. So we're playing along, and I tab to view the scores. There I am, 10/1 and the rest of them are like 2/6 or some shit like that. I'm like "Hit tab and tell me something isn't wrong." They're like "Dude, the other team is just really good." At that point, I kinda lost respect for them. I was holding my own with PEN, and they can't even carry their own weight against the same team while they have AP and what have you. Oh, but it gets better. We have examples!
There I was. The dude on their team with 44/3. Comes up and stabs me. I'm like OHSHIT REVO TO THE FAAAACE. Brings him down to 1 HP. He slices me and I die. Clannie comes up and starts to shoot him. I watch the entire scene.
He unloads a full SMG clip at the dude. And misses every. Single. Shot. And then gets revo'd from behind.
I was like "Really. Really." I didn't talk for a little bit after.
So then I kept going on about how I'm using PEN and they're in full AP, a little bit of epeen because I kinda deserved it. Prolly around 20-6 while they're sporting less than 1.0's. They keep talking about how AP doesn't hinder them, it only helps them, and I keep telling them otherwise due to my score. I mean, solid proof in front of them, but they're like Nope. I has monies.
Somewhere midway during the match, I get kicked from the call. I continue playing and I think my score ended.. 40-12? I think. Regardless, they're highest K/D was like 1.1 on the guy that I kinda looked up to. I leave the scene pretty much instantly and proceed to talk to the dude who likes to debate. Just for fun. His argument was "I have the AP. Why not use it?" I essentially told him I was trying to help the clan, which I was, but he refused to believe me. Why? Because of his thoughts on the games 'essences.' He says they all require AP. I'll list them for you.
Timing.
Moving.
Tanking.
Killing.
Faking.
He said he refuses to not use AP because without his 10% speed, his movement will be thrown off as well as timing. Tanking, I don't think I need to explain how sad that is. His killing he says is based upon AP, because of the extra stats. I proceeded to counter his argument by saying if you have no aim but AP, you still can't kill anything. (Not talking about melee here..) And then faking. He thinks AP is a part of faking. LOL. Really? You fake better WITHOUT AP because you need to dodge to win. Not only that, but his third point is tanking. How can you fake someone out if you're trying to tank? Lol'd.
He proceeded to argue that if he stopped using AP to work on the 'killing' aspect in my argument, that would throw off the rest of the 'cogs' as he called them. He was talking about you can't have just skip cogs, and I personally beg to differ. Give up the other things temporarily and work on the single one, the most important one of his 'cogs' in my opinion, and then replace it once it's good. He just doesn't want to give up his stats in fear of the entire system not working, supposedly. I proceeded to laugh at him for his idiocy. He wondered why I was laughing. I just laughed some more.
Then he tried to relate S4 to WoW. I turned off my brain at this point. Anyway, here was the convo.

His name is hidden to protect privacy. He's a cool guy, just being stupid in the moment.
Since I turned off my brain, I didn't really come back with anything like 'But with AP, your bar is higher up so you can reach the limit easier. Why not push for the bar further using PEN since the bar would be lower?' Then again, as quoted by Flurospar, "How dare someone with just pen gear outplay someone who spends 300+ dollars on this game for the best gear?"
After that, he pretty much said "You play with PEN, I don't care. I'm playing with AP."
I say "Alright, just don't come raging at me because you can't kill people with PEN gear while sporting your money's worth."
He shut up there after.
TL;DR
I give up on AP users. I'm going to stop using it in pub matches because it's just too much fun embaressing them by using my fumbi sets.
