Welcome to Harakiry's video tutorial!

This guide is directed to every player out there who wants to improve his gameplay and possibly get better at using their Swords. It includes only the "advanced" moves, uncommon stuff that you don't see everywhere.

All you need to know is well-explained in the video, but in case you would like to skip to a certain move, here you can find the minutes/seconds of each of them in this table of contents:
-00:08 Dodge Recovery
-01:26 Air Recovery
-03:36 Stun Lock
-05:03 TD Fast Start
-05:58 Spy Dagger Tricks
-06:49 Evasive Lights
-08:20 Revenge WallRape

Could use some proofreading. Otherwise, this was an insightful video.

Yes, video guides are acceptable. However, we do suggest to leave a formal introduction (what the guide is for and what to expect sort of thing) instead of just a post with a video on it.

Ah, this technique. It's very useful, given you are not hit by something that kills in one strike. Most people may think this to be hard, but it's actually pretty simple with the right reflexes.

Done. I'm not very good at this stuff but I've changed the first post a little bit trying to make it more acceptable.

i'm starting to like you more and more with every post

anyway i've just started the video and i'm on the very first part; i already like what i see.

EDIT: holy wow. a lot of the stuff covered in the video i didn't even know about and could be useful beyond SO by a long shot. now there's actually a reason to run spy dagger in place of HG! great job.

also how did you do that advanced dodge thing without SP?

If you're refering to the Boomerang, well, dodging with no SP makes your character cancel some moves. Test it with Walljump.
If you were talking about the Dodge Recovery... I did use SP there =o

To iterate more on this, you have to time it correctly as well
Practice with a friend by grabbing the fumbi and getting KBed

If you time it correctly you can even cancel the "knocked down-laying-on-the-floor" time period

I thought most of the stuff in the video was common knowledge but I guess it isn't

well i meant the clip in tunnel where you had the ball with no SP and you were demonstrating dodge recovery, but you answered the question anyway lol

I really like video guides, they're more work, but easier for new players to use because they see what's going on. More detail like real-game examples or command inputs before and during the move are very useful for making a guide too. I know people might not like to hold a reader's hand when they write, but it helps and makes it a better guide the more detail it has.

As for myself I approve this guide, it shows in fact some uncommon moves and even some i have not seen or grasp till now (dodge/ air recovery; spy dagger tricks).

P.S.: I specially like the ending about "spam". ~

Just because I'm mean I'd like to add, that air recovery without sp doesn't require you to actually dodge(a/d+space) but rather you only need to press space and it will work.

Aside from that I find this to be an interesting guide, but aside from the revenge wallrape, there was nothing new for me.

Well done nevertheless.

Btw, was the music from the FF12 soundtrack?

You're not mean, u just mad! Pressing only space during a KnockBack makes your character do the "stand up animation" so you can't use a Jump Attack, Dodging with no SP instead cancels the KnockBack and then you can use a Jump Attack, go test both.

The soundtrack is from Shadow of the Colossus, BEST-GAME-EVAR.
