Basic physics and animations

Like any other game, this one has running and jumping.
By jumping or falling from a height, the character will land and most likely resume running, given there is a ground to land on.
All of these animation control your movements in the game.

What is cancelling?

Cancelling in video games is usually referred to animations that begin, usually by a trigger, after another without waiting for the first animation to end.
Basically, you're interrupting one move instantly with another.
That is a common essence of speed in video games.

Things that can be cancelled

In S4 League, players figure out ways to work around useless, time consuming actions, such as landing or recoil.
Some very basic things to cancel in S4 are, of course, running, jumping, and dodging.
Obviously, you can cancel running by jumping or dodging. Many moves are cancelled by attacking.
In this guide, I will show you how to cancel landing with shooting and its uses.

Hop Shot... Really...?

The purpose of this simple trick is to jump and fire without being bound to the ground from landing.
When you fire your gun while landing on the ground, your character will switch into the standing fire mode.
Since you are now standing, you can jump again while firing or recoiling from the shot.
If done correctly, you can shorten, if not completely berid of, the time you are on the ground.

Ugh, this is stupid. I'm not doing it right, anyways.

Be careful of the timing of your shots.
You cannot jump again for a little while when you land while firing in midair.
Recoiling also has a landing animation.
The trick is to fire when you're on the ground, not in midair.

What gave you this dumb idea??

The same thing that inspired me to make the Double Jump video, which the trick is now called Reload Cancel Jump.
Watch saixelement's video.

Not this thread again.

Obviously this trick is for try-hards, and try-hards only. I know cool and neat tricks are cool, but if you're not in a 5v5/6v6 and you don't know everyone in there and you're not on a vent/skype? You're doing it wrong.

Lol, I always do this by mistake. Never thought someone would actually name it. Looks like everything is getting a name slapped onto it these days...

While I like the sentiment of wanting to help other players JinNJuice, I am afraid I can't approve this because it really is just too basic.

Whether it's a basic thought or not, I don't want to close the thread simply because the guide is too basic. This section is where you learn how to make good guides through feedback and public opinion. I do agree with my moderator, I don't feel this is front page worthy, but if you improve on your findings and get something good going, I'd approve it. Not only that, put a bit more effort into the actual writing of your guide.

Hmm... I'm not sure how I can better portray this. If anyone would like to contribute to this, that would be very helpful. I'm really just trying to show that these little things can help out with gameplay. Most others usually just show off or profess a lie.

Front page worthy? lol. Although that would be nice, that is never what I aim for. Then again, if I can show the usefulness of this, it may get more people to see.
