Subject: Major improvements to the GUI!!

Before we get into the core contents of the upcoming patch, the Reporter Team at Channel S5 would like to apologize for the lack of updates and information. It was difficult obtaining help from some staff members and everyone was tremendously busy with exams and work. However, with summer holidays around the corner (or for some, it may have already started) you can expect a lot of updates. So remember to keep coming back to Channel S5 for all of your S4 League updates!!!

With all that out of the way, let's get down to business. It seems that Pentavision has listened to our advice and have brought S4 League back with a much needed face lift. Let's see what we can expect within the upcoming months!!

New sexy summer pieces and a whole new starter outfit!!!
MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!!!! Well...not entirely, but this update brings a glimpse of hope. There was quite an outrage when the starter uniforms were changed to the hideous training rags that we've grown accustomed too. Pentavision has been listening carefully and they're about to change all that. We introduce you to the new starter costumes, The Trainer Wardrobe!!!

These sleek and stylish treads bring back the style that S4 has been missing (especially for new comers). Once this patch has been implemented, every player will be equipped with the new starter costumes. 10/10 Pentavision. Way to go!!!

While we're on the same page, there are also a new summer costume set. Pentavision comes out with new sets every summer to be as sexy and stylish of a game as ever. This year, we'll be receiving the Leopard and Vacation Set for females and males, respectively. These are both premium sets (purchasable with P-coins) and are equipped with force pack abilities. If you some money lying around, be sure to get some capsules and try your luck!!

Team Death-Match upgrade brings forth a new map!!

Playing with twelve (12) people is very entertaining, and certainly very challenging as well. Well, what about sixteen (16)!? That's right sports fans. You will be able to set the player cap to sixteen instead of twelve. NOTE: This is only possible in Team Death-Match!

You can't expect to play with sixteen players on the maps that we have at the moment, now can we. Along with this upgrade, we also receive a brand new map. Welcome to SQUARE!! Square is a GIGANTIC map that allows for a comfortable sixteen player team death match. But there's something unusual about this map. It seems rather symmetrical and "blockish". I'd rather play Capture the Flag on it!! Anyways, you'll be facing your enemies in an assembly plant. Use the vehicles and buildings to your advantage!!

The Tutorial for the game has also been revamped. It brings a better understanding of the game mechanics to help support the newcomers and it also provides us with a futuristic feel towards S4 League. The Korean GMs will help you run through the course with ease (we're unsure if WES4 will keep the GMs or not). You can also expect the weapon and skill tutorials to be revamped in the same fashion.

Another GUI update; something to fit with the Dark Lightning Theme
In case you're wondering, we did have a GUI face-lift in the past (hence the "another update" part). But this time, it doesn't just concern the shop interface. The entire system will be changing to fit with the latest Dark Lightning Theme! Everything has been organized to provide ease of access to everyone who plays. All options (friends list, clan settings, exit, etc) have been moved to the top navigation bar. You can now figure out how much EXP and PEN/AP you have obtained by the observation card on the main screen. The Lobby Chatroom also provides a box for all the members currently in your lobby (without pressing the friends button). Now isn't that very convenient!!!

NOTE: Unfortunately, the Fumbi Shop will be closed until the GUI has been settled into the system and every little glitch and bug has been fixed.

There are also a few other key features that have been altered, to support easier access for newcomers and faster gameplay. Note that these changes may appear over time and not all in one patch.

For starters, the room lobby has been completely scratched. You will no longer be able to move around and visually see other players in the room. The screen will now be remotely similar to most FPS games (such as GunZ) where names will be shown in a box, and provide what team the individual is on. On the same note the Fumbii Shop, Club System, and Combii System will be altered to suit the style and for easier access. Normal AP items (anything before premium items) have been entirely removed from the shop. An interview with Pentavision revealed that we will see many changes in the old and in the new, but most weapons will remain unchanged.

They realize not all changes will help older players as much as they help "noobs" and vice versa, but they realize the life of S4 is in competition and will do more to make it attractive for both. Don't hesitate to show your local publishers support for ideas you like to improve on these changes!

We'll just have to wait a few weeks before everyone has a change to check everything out (unless your play KRS4)!! But until then, you know the drill. Get out there and Show Me Your S4!!!

This is a prime example of the direction S4 goes in.

Yeah, lets make S4 like every other shooter in existence! It's not like anyone plays it because it's original, right? Except for some weird people like, dunno, me.

The initial unique visual aesthetic of the game got watered down a long time ago already, but it's still sad to see it continuing - and spreading to other areas of the game to boot.

Also, lol@forcing people to buy only premium.

...time to get into TF2, I guess.

What! A non-movable room? This is complete sadness. I prefer a room where you can move around, use your emoticons rather then a boring, room with text all over it and just chatting. Pentavision you took the wrong move -_-

You can always change this around, S4 Leaguers, just make sure you put your voices up there. But you know how I feel, I love the game and always will say "Don't knock it till you try it. THEN KNOCK IT ALL YOU CAN!"

Edit: this came to mind (don't know if this breaks the rule or anything) I'm sure most of you know there are minimap previews and maps in the database that only hackers got a hold of.
City Square and City Square 2(Giant maps if you've seen vids of them). These maps probably going to be released as a 16Player map? Seeing as it's big and all. I thought of this after watching another vid that had minimap previews that were inside the database. The mini map was of Square 1 and Square 2. Seeing as Square came out this recent KRS4 patch, I thought those other giant maps may as well come soon.

Hmmm, I dont like the new lobby system at all. Sucks that they're removing the normal AP shop (should remove the premium shop~). Also, you mentioned the summer sets would have FP stats? Meaning 3% speed and sp/hp+5? If that's what they are planning to do from now on I mine as well quit for good.

No... what they mean with costume FP stats is: +5% each piece of clothing and Premium stats (+7shooting wep def; +8 attack all weps; +9 defence all weps; +8 hp gloves; +8 hp shoes; +8 sp accessory)
