It's cool you don't need full step or half step just because you saw the rev users in the montages do them. Just practice your aim, use DI and learn wavedash and jump-cancel for evasion.

I am not a teacher but I know the guy who likes to call himself the teacher. Cysote's Youtube Scroll down through his uploads and you can find decent video tutorials for what you want to know.

I'm gonna have to recommend Naguru's videos, I think they're among the best for teachin stuff.
