Hi guys, long time streamer here. I've experimented with almost every means of streaming, and these are probably the most efficient ways to do so via Windows. I've gone from livestream, to using VHScreencap +Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, to Wirecast, but nothing comes close to the program I'm using now. It's a program called XSplit. It's in public at the moment, but it runs almost flawlessly for me, actually better than what I got from VHSC and FLME and uses less resources.

First you want to make an account on justin.tv if you haven't done so already.

Afterwards, download Xsplit via http://www.xsplit.com/

Next install and all that good stuff, and then make an account

After doing that sign in and you come to a screen like this

Click Tools then Settings and get this window.

Go to General tab and make your settings look like this, except change to what your microphone is

After that go to channels, add your channel by clicking Justin.tv

Put what settings you can do. I do this, but if you're net isn't good enough/strong enough pc you'll have to experiment (I can help if you have questions)

Save the settings and go to resolutions, add what resolutions you can do. Again it's all based on what you're pc can handle, etc. I personally stream S4 at 640x480. You can also bind hotkeys. I think that's self-explanatory.

Finally go under the view tab, set what resolution you want, and the frame rate (30 fps is good enough)

Finally add your sources by clicking on a source button, and "add" My layout is source 1 is webcam, source 2 is the game, source 3 is the logo.

To add a webcam, add your camera, to add S4 screen click on Add screen region, and box it around the gameplay screen if windowed, or stretch it on the monitor if you play fullscreen.

From there, you can go live and start streaming!

Justin.tv also uses IRC for chat, and you can read up on that here: http://www.justin.tv/p/irc_guide

This method also works with Ustream if you prefer that, but I can't guarantee the same quality as Justin.tv!

If you have any questions, feel free to post!
