Might be fun though. They're putting an unusual amount of effort into hyping this. It probably took them all of an hour to prepare that story but it's more than usual. As such, I'm being stupidly hopeful that we might get a new weapon along with some other goodies. A new TD/DM map would be nice if they could pull it off properly. And that story seems like it's going to tie in with an arcade chapter. Who knows though. Whaaaaaaaaaaaatever Penta. I'll still play your silly game regardless of what this is.

Pure speculations and thoughts:
WARNING! This will be a wall of text! Everything is just speculations and hypotheses from this early update! Things like these might have been said once before. Hopefully I won't fail.. Even thought this text WILL be WORHTLESS..

To begin with the weapons found in that video:

Katana:
It is clear that they are trying to add it to S4 however they don't know how they want it to be like. The slash animation has clearly evolved into a acceptable state which needs 2 attacks to kill those sentries. This could also be hacked damage ofcourse, but the Twin Swords which is a cover of the Counter Sword deals the same damage as it would. I also think that the amount of expactations people got for the Katana raises their cautioness to not do any mistakes, and pumps out different new things for us to be entertained. However, that is a good thing, since when Katana comes, then it might be balanced and not as annoying as the Spy Dagger clearly is for everyone (I however got nothing against it, but I don't like using it.). Adding it as a Combi Master Weapon would be awesome but maybe not fair. But it would show the true power of those who helped newbies with Combi (Or farmed like hell.).

Summary of opinions and thoughts about Katana:
If it's going to be released, it will for a change be throughly planned, that's why it's taking a long time and because of the new animation and the "White Slash" thingy that comes up which clearly belongs to the Katana and the damage, they are actually planning to evolve the idea.

"Twin Swords":
I agree with the thoughts of you guys, it might be a Arcade Reward or even the "Boss" or Chained Girl's weapon (she could actually be our friend, or take over you so you are on her side.), but it is clearly related to the Chained Girl. If you ever heard of Forkblade, then this would probably be the one taking it's place. If you seperate the attributes of it, it seems that it will be: Fast in general as it's quite small swords, formidable damage since it's actually swords, probably high dps and long combo as it is 2 swords which at least would double the amount of attacks. To put it bluntly: They really need to be careful and avoid giving this one out too early as it easy could be "spammable" to the amount that many people will stop playing. Counter Sword got it's weaknesses and so do Spy Dagger, but this one might not get any. Also, saw the chains in the animation, could be overpowered if they had any other use than whipping people.

Summary of opinions and thoughts about "Twin Swords":
Like the Katana they need to develop it under a long time so they won't make an unbalanced weapon. Other than that, it doesn't seem to be any negative right now with it, quite awesome idea, but I myself don't hope for it to become a weapon that can be used in DM or any other like that.

Ok, to the new "Storyline":
This whole idea gave me goosebumps just by reading it, however outside of personal matters; this will become big even if they would mess up somewhere. Making it Arcade Part 2 would be a great idea! Though, I am not sure that it will be following the first part, because of speculations (I have not researched about this. And this will probably be a little SPOILER WARNING.) that the thing that followed you back in the end is the Chaser. The Arcade mode came out before the Chaser Mode in Korea, so it makes sense in the timeline from their perspective. Anyhow, some guesses about the Chained Girl and the last thing written "Will the message of this waiting girl reach someone?" might assume that the story - even though it won't be Arcade - is that "The Message Will Reach YOU and YOU Will Answer it" ..along side your friends ofcourse. This is probably is the first thought for many that reads the news, but how the story continues is mystery ofcourse. Are you going to free her - making her your companion or watch how the worlds crumble, or are you going to get taken over and you will be able to play her against the Hooded Girl, or maybe you are just going to stop her making the whole "Quest" become like Devil May Cry 3. If you haven't played it, then to put it simple: You struggle through a tower to stop "The Evil One". Meaning alot of fighting with bosses and then when your up; Final Boss. (Not EXACTLY how it was in DMC3 but..) This is a common storyline which many games I've played got.

Though, while writing the text before, I just thought of an really awesome idea.. What IF you actually are going to get to CHOOSE what to do? So if the Chained Girl is evil and you will help her; then maybe IT WILL ANNOUNCE IT to other players, which then get to choose IF THEY are going to FIGHT against the new evil. This means it could once again a new mode. Maybe it just will be that 2 teams in one room will fight and first Beta team will be "evil" and Alpha "good" and then switch or something..
In MY opinion the first idea sounds just TOO awesome to be able to be added into a game, would take too much work and might mess up other things.
However, in the storyline: Why did they stop the REAL WORLD from getting like The S4 World?.. If it would happen here in the real world, I would be HAPPY FACE!.. =D

So yeah, Summary: Arcade Part 2 is highly possible, or they will do something totally OUTRAGEOUS.

It looks like its going to be the next Arcade mode on a new map set. The storyline looks like something that Penta can work on more, but this is S4, so I'm not expecting much considering how they did the Connest arc. Regardless of how good/bad it is, I'm still gonna play it anyway.

heres an idea. Arcade caps gives arcade exclusive Coupons. get a certain amount of arcade coupons and redeem it for perm (pen stats) verson of KrS4 exclusive Faces/Hair and arcade cloths..and otherwise the scarred up face that i want qq) and 200/250 for the Spy Dagger FP. Look at that. genius.

THAT. would make people play arcade.

Penta seem to have gotten way up ahead of themselves now. Finally stepping up and release something that's totally awesome in idea but...can't say I'm not excited with the huge patch or just feel volatile with the FP weapons coming out. Or the fact they make the females look more whorish every patch that comes out. The pantless loli girl was enough fan service. She looks exactly like Dizzy from Guilty Gear.
