Avoidability Techniques?

I know the bunny hop but I still do it sluggishly;
I was wondering if there's anyone who can help me refine bunny hop,
or teach any other techniques I could use for avoidability if I'm carrying the ball?
(Usually if I'm carrying, I move closer while trying to take down the other opponents,
but this would be useful for if all my teammates have died.)
Tons and tons of people can evade bullets better than I can,
and I guess my bunny hopping isn't too shabby - it's just that I want
to step it up to the next tier.
In-game help would be recommended!
Please comment : )

there are tons of techniques; wave dash, bunny hop, dodging by just moving out of the way, and pressing the "Z" button while shooting helps too.
If all your teammates died you got two choices; 1. Run away 2. Die trying to take someone with you.

I can't really help you I'm just saying what I can because I'm one of the players who dance(dodge and shoot stylishly).

But there are tons of people here who can help and tell that everything is mostly practice and will be mastered with time.

What do you mean by "run away"?
I'm talking about if, say, I was in a 6v6 scenario where my team went ramp on ST2.
AND if I pick up the ball and no longer have back-up, but there are still
2-4 people on the other team trying to gun me down while I'm about two walljumps away from the goal ._.

Kinda depends on how much sp you have and what the other team has. If you have the sp, just try and wall jump close like a lot of people do. Most people can't aim up in time to stop that.

If the other team is using mostly melee, bunny hop is probably your best option if you don't have sp to walljump over them. Right? I don't bunny hop so idk what it's for really.

If the other team is using guns, fire back to put pressure on their aim until you can get close enough to ps dash in or whatever you can do.

If there are too many people, sometimes you can't really do anything. I would just try and take as many people out as you can. I wouldn't go back at all (like going towards the way down the ramp). The people are going to follow you and if you run back you'll just give them the fumbi closer to your own goal.

Well, I'm very familiar with knowing what to do during different scenarios;
the ST2 ramp situation I've included is just an example, though it does happen.
I'm just looking for other techniques that might exist outside of bunny hop
because I've seen many people do something different. They're also much harder to hit than regular bunny hop users.
So if you could help me there, that'd be nice ^^

Well. There's more to bunny hopping than pressing W+W+Space. If you do that, your still going to die relatively fast. Even though your bouncing up and down, your still easy to hit because your going in a straight line. You have to know when you to hop forwards, sideways, and backwards( Yes! You can run backwards!) to avoid gunfire and melee. There really isn't much of a technique to doing it, although doing it faster is much more beneficial to you than doing it slower. You also want to change up your speed from fast or slow when hopping to avoid melee.

For example: It's St-2. Say I'm running up the ramp with my team. My teammate dies, I get the pick up. I start running up ramp, alternating between hopping really fast and zigzagging to avoid some of the gunfire. I get on the platform, and I see someone with a PS. I know he's going to try and stun or dash me, so I'll run backwards. He'll do his dash or stun and end up in his melee cooldown. If I still have more SP, I'll just run past him, but if I'm out of SP, I'll hop in a circle around the PS user to throw him off me. With him off my case, I'll be free to score the TD. Or say if there's a few CS or dagger users in blocking the goal. I'll run past the goal to throw them off and then come back and score the TD since most of them would be in their melee cool down thinking I would have ran into them.

Dodging melee and bunny hopping go hand in hand, really. Most people don't know how to do it, so if you learn how you'll be a much better player for it. Although you need to know the difference between when to shoot and when to hop.

Sorry if it was confusing, but it's something I do really well, so I tried my hardest to explain it the best I could. What server do you usually play on? If I see you online, I'll try and show you instead of explaining through text.

As for practicing bunny hopping, you could go up to a crate, on say, Neden-1 and just practicing bunny hopping against that. You'll know if your doing it right if you don't end up on top of the crate.

Do NOT do this, wall jumps are almost a sure way to die if the opposing team has someone just average aim. I'm not in a position to give advice about dodging because I'm extremely bad at it. However, I will mention that wall jumps are not usually a good way of getting into or near the TD. It's one of those situational things and if you observe slightly better (if any) pub rooms, you'll notice the half decent people aren't using wall jumps a whole lot when they have the fumbi.

warning zig zag avoids some like versa said the reason why is because they are in front of you shooting.
if you can zig zag around and through them like a football player then you could score.
never do really short fast zig zags you will die in 3seconds.
melee iz the best way to score.

Short distance scoring is like driving.

If you drive without paying attention to the cars around you, you'll crash.
If you try to run every red light you see and get there as FAST AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE, chances are you'll crash.
If you drive like you're in an action movie and evade when you don't actually need to, you'll be left helpless when you actually do have to evade.

Being evasive is highly situational; you're going to want to wall jump sometimes, not waste your SP dodging sometimes, and run in a straight line sometimes. But the only way to get good at scoring is to know what's around you, just like when you're driving; if there's a big trucker merging into your lane, you either speed past or get the hell out of the way. And just because it looks like you're going to make the yellow light doesn't mean you should get careless and let yourself get run over.

Lol, the posts all helped in one way or another.
I bunny hop utilizing the X, Y, and Z axis, so it's never in a straight line.
I guess I just have to work on maneuvering my way around the daggers somehow,
'cause those are always harder than stuns when it comes to avoiding.
On a sidenote, if I see a dagger, I just start shooting, lol.
Dagger spammer dead = Even if I lose the ball, it's worth it. Totally worth it.
Thanks for the tips everyone :}

And Versa, that'd be cool if you could show me sometime.

well , always do the things ur enemies do not expect

that explains why it's easier to avoid the bullets of noobs then to avoid bullets of a real pro ( if you dont care on the aim )

you should step back sometimes , jump on a place without moving , standing still or duck behind stairs/wall/boxes etc.

for moving i'd do a mixure out of the jumping i mentioned above and bunnyhop combined with some wallrapes if possible

just dont stay monotonous

that's all i can say :P
