Hi everyone I'm Akito Chaos also known as Aki(i will change my name)
First I am going to talk about rain stepping without melee equiped, yes guns only.
You probably done it before,after a dodge or two or more press "W" twice fast and release and your character will look like a falling bowling pin. Now rain step after a wall jump hold down any direction and your character should do a sway(warning;time it right or it wont work).

The Flash Step( this works with; plasma sword, hand gun, guass, shot gun, revolver, rail gun(if you cancel), cannonade(if you cancel), ummm...basically any weapon in S4 that shoots a bullet at a time or slashes and swings one hit at a time. Heres how the technique works: aim at one spot keeping the cursor still. If you are dashing from the left move alil to the left then dash right, shoot then dash back to previous spot. If done correctly you should be bouncing back and forth shooting at one spot(where the person is). After you shoot jump and dash right away or just the wave dash.You must repeat the cycle so it will look like its supposed. :) Thats it I'm done, if you need to see it in action I am in the english server euro, but I live in the US so Im on in the morning 10am US pacific zone

i figured so -_-
i wish i could but everything just gets laggy
when i record. a regular home pc cant handle
it, im surprised it handles s4.

I agree with Byuu. Some people can't comprehend walls of text, which is why I personally think you should make a video. But other then that, sounds good.

So the 'flash step' is just fadestepping back and forth? I see no use for that. It's not like our target's stand still.

I'd rather hold down "w", "a", "s", or "d" after a walljump so I'd glide to that direction and/or increase the distance with a dash to whatever direction I want to go. Saves more sp, gets you further and is easier than 'rain stepping' after a wall jump.

Then again, I might just have misunderstood your description.

Your "Flash Step" sounds an awful lot like Cysote's "Full Step". How I understood it:

Dash -> shoot -> jump -> dash back
