I have a question: Does charging up the Air "cannon" push you away from walls like charging up railguns and cannonades do?

Shouldn't get used to how things are now. They intend to patch some of the weapons due to player feedback on the homing rifle and the spy dagger.

Really is too good when you can cancel just about any animation it has and it does retarded damage.

So they're patching the weapons pushing the users back?

What do you mean? They might tweak the weapons as they're still in testing and aren't perfect by any stretch.

I'm pretty sure many players saw this coming...

If you hold down fire button for railgun or cannonade and walked towards a wall while facing it, you'll find yourself pushed away from the wall. If you go at an angle with the left/right strafe keys you can actually walk very fast, even though the method is impractical.

Likewise, if you had, say, a revolver or shotgun, and walked as close to a wall as you can, faced it so that you are (nearly) perpendicular to the wall, and fired at it, you should find that you are pushed back away from the wall. Try it out.

That's called "Wallboosting"; it's already fairly well known and is used with Handguns to move fast along walls.

^ Must've taken awhile to coin that, because when I left S4 the term still didn't exist even though everybody used it.

Holding a charged airgun makes you walk even slower than walking with a heavy machine gun, wallboosting with it wouldn't be very effective at all.
