This is a simple guide on how to perform HKBC (Heavy Knock Back Cancel) (Name was thought of by a friend [Inx]Kimmy), I performed the trick.

Basically when you're knocked off the map by a smash rifle/Counter Sword/BAT/PS you can counter it by dashing and canceling the dash and running forward (W+W)

The video gives simple instructions as well as a video display of the trick.

Here's the link:

// The actual video, you can see it just by going on this topic.

How it's useful:

If you are about to be flung off the map (Like Station 2) you can cancel out of the knock back and run at your opponent when they are VULNERABLE. It's very useful for situations like at Station 2, the bridge, you're running and someone knocks you off, what do you do? Well you dash out of the heavy knock back and you run right at em and do whatever you want!

If you found this useful please tell me. :D

I always wondered how players could nullify the knockback of a heavy slash on circle-4...

Anyway...VEEERRYYYY useful! Thanks a lot!

Thanks Gray and epic I know about how its used but it can be used to get back on the spot you got flung off on, which I haven't seen anyone do lately.

I'll never be able to do this and I'm okay with this.

Good tutorial, and best music ever! Reminds me when all the crew and I would do is run around in APB and do shit while cruizin' fly as hell. :V

It's a really useful technique but I usually just end up hitting my keyboard.

Thanks for the positive comments so far.

This technique was never documented before so call it what you want I guess xD, just heavy knock back cancel makes sense. Recovery makes me think of healing xD.

Anyways I'll be coming along with other videos too, so if you watch that video, keep on the lookout for my other ones. :D

Thank you for sharing this useful trick. I know how to execute the move but never used it to recover from being hit off the map so I've learnt something new, thanks~

IF you have full SP that'd be no problem.

And by the way thank you everyone for the positive comments :D
