Guild Wars 2 Official Website

Quote

For generations, war and chaos raged across the land of Tyria. Five great races competed and warred against each other, struggling to tip the balance of power in their favor.

Then the dragons woke.

The all-powerful beasts stirred from their millennial sleep under earth and sea. With their magical breath the dragons spread destruction and created legions of twisted slaves. A deathless dragon named Zhaitan raised the sunken nation of Orr, triggering earthquakes and tidal waves that destroyed entire cities across the Sea of Sorrows.

Zhaitan's undead armies surged from the sea, hungry for the destruction of the five races of Tyria: the charr, a ferocious race of feline warriors; the asura, magical inventors of small size and great intellect; the norn, towering shapeshifters from the frigid northern lands; the sylvari, a mysterious young race of visionary plant folk; and the humans, an embattled but resilient people.

Now heroes from the five races must set aside ancient rivalries and stand together against their common enemies.

Magic, technology, and cold steel will determine the ultimate fate of the world.

Looks awesome, I've played all the previous games, looking forward to the open beta probably coming next year, anyone else interested?

This is going to be B2P (buy to play) too right? Its either this or Blade and Soul, or both! I have budget allotted for both their release(s) in the future.

I'm a huge Guild Wars fan, not gonna lie. My only trouble is figuring out what to play since it looks like the monk class got axed.

Sorry,
I don't think I can ever honestly bring myself to play a game that involves "mining" as a major part of it's gameplay.

GW1 was pretty good, so I'm sorta hyped for GW2

the races in GW2 look quite interesting, definitely a nice break from the usual elf/orc/human formula..

Huh, no mining.

Either way, I'm really adverse to xp grinds in general.

lol you could reach the max level cap in a week in GW2, and that's casually following the story.

I think GW2 is going to have an very high or no level cap but they plan to introduce measures so a level 1 could play with a level 50 for instance, also levels tend not to matter in pvp since I believe everyone will be entered into the pvp arena or whatever at the same level. So yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Guild Wars is a fun game period. I played it alone for over a year until I finally joined a guild. Its fun both ways. Depends on how you like to play.

I had you added! we should of played =[

alliance battles are so win lol

and GVG and HoH everthing about GW was just super fun

it was great it was surrounded by PVP mainly, and the PVE was a blast when the expansions barely came out =]

like going around exploring, and then finding a boss and trying to find out its Elite

but then I found out there was a guildwiki =x

Haha, I love Guild wiki.

Edit: I also love that the Char were the ones who invented printing presses, haha.

I still have it installed. We can still play lol. AB is always fun. I never really got into HoH because no one would accept my low "rank" however AB'ing was my best experience.
