Thread title's a lie. There's just one story I wrote a while ago. Important things to know: it's sci-fi and long enough that no one'll read it.

Relevant link: Lament's Contrition

What site is that? Haha. Anyway, I have no idea why it's smaller than you'd think it be - maybe no fancy figures like ya might find in a lab write up.

Houses is just like a plotless intro to the setting (it was more of a prototype and people've told me it's kinda boring 'cause there's no plot to it, so I didn't include it).

And inb4 you find this too, there's a 3rd story there called The Golden Valkyrie: The Forge of Hate that's incomplete (and sadly, I haven't worked on it in over a year now).

I fail at documents I guess >.<

Glancing through all this, they're all part of the same universe? I'm getting more curious as to how everything fits together. Houses felt almost like an intro of sorts, and I noticed all three share some buzz words (at least, what I've seen at a glance). Just how long has this been uh, in your head? :P

Yeah, it's the same universe. Houses is a sort of intro. Forge of Hate's a sort of prequel to Lament's Contrition.

The universe is, in a rough sense, an adaptation of some stuff in my imagination that can probably be traced back to when I was like 8 or 9.

And how must we be disappointed, when we learn, that this connexion, tie, or energy lies merely in ourselves, and is nothing but that determination of the mind, which is acquired by custom, and causes us to make a transition from an object to its usual attendant, and from the impression of one to the lively idea of the other?
....
Most fortunately it happens, that since reason is incapable of dispelling these clouds, nature herself suffices to that purpose, and cures me of this philosophical melancholy and delirium, either by relaxing this bent of mind, or by some avocation, and lively impression of my senses, which obliterate all these chimeras. I dine, I play a game of backgammon, I converse, and am merry with my friends; and when after three or four hours’ amusement, I would return to these speculations, they appear so cold, and strained, and ridiculous, that I cannot find in my heart to enter into them any farther.

Sorry, but sometimes really, really bad writing makes for a better story.
