Season 4 Sign-ups

Hello everyone, Reiki here!

Just wanted to let you all know that we're going to be starting sign-ups for the Season 4 (Oct, Nov, Dec) tournament. This season will be finishing off the new year. Ranking teams in all of the tournaments will go into a battle-royale to determine who is the top club in S5.

Here's how it works: Players will get points determined by their ranking in the tournament. These points can go towards the Semi-Finals. If you manage to get enough points, you can participate. Here are a list of qualifier points are broken down.

1st Place: 10 Points
2nd Place: 8 Points
3rd Place: 6 Points
4th and 5th Place: 4 Points
6th and 7th: 3 points
8th Place: 2 Points
9th, 10th, 11th, 12th Place: 1 Point
Everyone else comes out with 0 points.

You need: 6 points in order to participate in the Quarter Finals.

The guidelines for this tournament are very simple:

1. Swiss Elimination Rules - Winner is two out of three.
2. Matches must be scheduled before the weekend begins.
3. Advanced (AP++) clothing is strictly prohibited. (+11 cap)

• Any combination of items or lack there of that reach the cap is fine. As long as the total does not exceed Fumbi limits.
  
• If you intend to switch characters during a match, make sure a judge is aware of your setup so no surprises are done.
  
• Caught offenders will get a penalty against their team.

4. A team is only allowed 2 installation weapons slots at any given time.
5. The mode for this tournament is Touchdown. 20 minute matches, 5 versus 5, balance off.
6. A judge must be present during your match. We will randomly choose the maps that are played that round.
7. Hacker type weapons: Mind Energy and Mind Shock - Prohibited

List of changes effective November

• Gauss Rifle has been removed from prohibited weapons.
  
• 5,000 AP is rewarded to the 1st place winners of the round.
  
• Penalties are now in effect, please see Tournament Rules and Regulations for more.
  
• Team captains are now required to state when they intend to have their match before Saturday 12AM PST of every round.

**NOTE: If you signed up, but do not have your roster pasted in "Source Tower" by the 18th your matches will not count. Some extreme cases will lead to disqualification. Get it in!

Good to see 3 replies so far. I should go looking for more clubs to participate, figured we'd have more sign-ups by the weekend.

Not signing up, but I was just kind of wondering why the limit for sentries is back up to 3.

That depends. If we don't participate in one of the season's tourneys, does that mean we have to drop out of the whole season?

@Solfur: Not necessarily. It just means that whatever points you get might not be enough to make it to the quarter finals where the big prizes are at. All you need is six points, but I would just play to collect experience and points.

We're hoping to give prizes for participation, but that's a ways off.

@Keraito: Any team can join. However, you need a roster and need to make sure you are present to play. If you do not have a roster, I will drop you from the tournament. I really need to know who is in your team and who is going to play in the tourny.

We're still trying to decide if we will be joining or not. A large portion of my team didn't really have much fun at the last tournament and don't want to join this one if its going to be more of the same. I'm trying to edge them into joining, but we'll see.
