I posted this is some thread earlier, I noticed not a lot of people have used it but it does work and it's fairly common knowledge to use it amongst people who play online games. Figured I'd post it here because nobody else has.

Here's the video(Not made by me!):
Youtube Video ->Original Video

If you don't want to watch the video, here are the instructions:

if you can't read and follow directions properly, back up your registry file. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756

Open your start menu and find Run, if you have vista you will have to search for the program.

When you open it type in the box Regedit and press Enter.

Open the tab HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Tab into SYSTEM

Tab into CurrentControlSet

Tab into Services

Find Tcpip, Tab into it (It's likely at the bottom of the section)

Tab into Parameters

Tab into Interfaces

There should be a few files in this section, find the one with a file called DhcpIPAddress which should have your IP Adress at the end of it.
i.e 192.168.1.xxx

Right click in a blank spot and select New --> Dword Value (might say 32-bit, thats fine)

Name the Dword TcpAckFrequency

Right click the Dword you just made and select Modify

Type in the "Value Data:" section "1" withought the quotes, so just a 1 in the box.

Click Okay

Restart your internet connection and/or restart your computer.

Should help your latency dramatically. (Not only in S4 League)

Hmm... I tried it. It made less lag... but more delay. Every time I PS dashed someone backing up, all i do is rub on them. NO HITS. It made other online games give more delay too....

I would not recommend this. Just a thought.

Just a note, this may totally destroy your fps one day. I did this many months ago, and that happened to me. I'm not really sure if it was due to the changes in registry, but that was the only thing that I had tweaked in the period before the fps died even more. I system restored, but I think just deleting the data values that you added would suffice. My advice is to save your registry before you make changes to it in case something happens. Then you can back it up if something ever happens in the future.

I'll explain how this works by simulating a conversation between you and your computer:
Before you do this:

* Server: "Ok computer, I just sent a data packet over to you, got it?"
* Your computer: ...
* Server: "Come on, answer me! I don't have all day!"
* Your computer: ...
* Server: "Ok, forget it, I've waited long enough, sending another one over! Got it?"
* Your computer: "Yep, got that one, also got the one you sent before, thanks."
* Server: "Well, why didn't you acknowledge the first one when I sent it? I was waiting ages!"
* Your computer: "Sorry, I'm just trying to make the network more efficient by bundling the acknowledgements together in pairs."
* Server: "Nevermind efficiency, this isn't a corporate domain you know. You do realise that the longer you take to acknowledge a packet, the more time I have to spend waiting around instead of sending more data?"
* Your computer: "Well sorry but this is how I'm setup by default."

After you do this:

* Server: "Ok computer, I just sent a data packet over, got it?"
* Your computer: "Yep, send the next!"
* Server: "That was fast! Ok, here's another, got that?"
* Your computer: "Yep, send the next!"
* Server: "Wow! What an improvement! Now that's more like it! Much better than giving me the silent treatment so I am forced to wait for acknowledgement timeouts, isn't it?
* Your computer: "Yep, it's certainly keeping me on my toes, thanks!"

The only disadvantage to this is that your computer will process acknowledgements faster so it will make your computer work harder, resulting in a little drop in frame rates.

EDIT: I'll post an easier way of accomplishing this with an .exe
Click here.

Can anyone offer some help? when I tab into inferences looking for my DCHPIPaddress I find several folders with pretty much the same err things in them they have slight differences but I'm not sure which I'm supposed to add into and I really don't want to fuck up my registry data.

If you don't want to do this manually you can use the Leatrix Latency Fix:

I use it too, it helped me see more laggers normally, instead of seeing them teleport all over.
There are still some teleporters, but less.

I'm sure this will help more people. I personally have almost no latency. But thanks for posting this!
