Description
Well, Well, Well. One full year has finally passed by since the launching of S4 League (well at least Open Beta), and it went by quite fast too. As you all know, S4Source (or S5 for short) has been dedicated in providing all S4 League players with a home to stay, chat, make friends and be informed. We think it's time to start a new chapter in the communitty, and we need your help!

Task
The task is quite simple actually. You may even know what to do by the title of this event. Your task will be to create a layout design for S5. This can be either the Main Page, or the Forums, or both! You can be as creative and stylish as you want it to become (remember this is YOUR website too)...as long as you follow a few guidelines:

Guidelines
Main Page Guidelines
■ The site must be sleek and futuristic (to some degree)
■ The website must contain the S5 Logo
■ The Website must be referenced with S4 League in some way (wether it be by a banner, a picture, symbol, etc)
■ The following links are necessary:

• Update Log
  
• Forum/IRC/Ventrillo
  
• Weapons/Skills/Costumes (for now these can be all seperate links)
  
• all affilates of S5 (The links section on the main page)

■ There should be a section in which we could publish the latest news on the main page (similar to how every new
patch is shown on the S5 main page)

Forums Guidelines
■ The layout must be sleek and futuristic (to some degree)
■ The forum layout should include the S5 Logo
■ The forum should be reference with S4 League in some way (banner, pictures, etc)
■ The layout MUST include ALL (16) main forum and ALL (15) subforum links if you are creating a full layout (with everything)
■ The "New Post" icon can be changed, however it must refer to S4 League in some way

Rules
The rules are quite simple, and lets keep it that way:
■ No Plagiarizing
■ Nothing explicit and no pornography
■ When criticizing someone's work, please respect the creator and don't be a big bull
■ (Racial/Sexual/etc) Descrimintation will not be tolerated!
By breaking any of these rules, your submission will be rejected!

Submitting an Entry
I'm assuming that most of you will use PhotoShop. If that is the case, we want you to submit the .psd file! (1)This will help us better understand your concept and (2) allow us to make any minor changes (in necessary). If you are using any other software, please attach the editable version of your files.
When submitting an entry, please Private Message (PM) either the judges or myself (Society-Q) with all of the files associated with the layout. You may post your entry in the forums, however you will be notified to PM the files as well.
You also do not need to code the layout. We have someone who is willing to do it for us :3

Decision Time
Once you have submitted your entry, the judges panel will look over all the designs and choose their top picks. A vote will be held on the S5 forums (date unknown) where the people will decide which one they like best. After the voting, the judges will have a final look over the top picks and make a final decision.

Prizes
At the end of this event, the winner will be chosen. He/She will be credited for the layout (on the Main Page, or the Forums) and will recieve a custom rank.

Need Help?
Creating website/forum layouts can become stress at times (trust me >.>). If it suits you better or just makes your life more easier, you can work with other people and submit a group entry. If you need some ideas, you may use various website ideas from other people (you may take bits and pieces, but please do not plagiarize! It will result in a disqualification)

Again, please keep everything clean! Any signs of descrimination (racial, sexual, etc), pornography or plagiarism will not be tolerated!!!

As of right now, the only judges will be the S5 Staff. However, this might change and we may allow other members to become judges as well.

I would like to do this for fun, but I don't think I'll be able to make time for it. Damn school is eating up all my free time. -.-

That would be awesome! Great idea Jello! It isn't really hard to use Flash, so maybe you can give it a shot. And I'm sorry to hear that you can't make time for it Unemployed. We're giving everyone approx. one(1) month, so hopefully you could do something ;3

That's alot of work for just a custom rank but if i don't have to code then i think it's fair. I'll try to see if i can come up with something.

Can we get some S4 images or some sort of resources for the banner?

Yeah I already have a small rough time line in my head right now. Picture this.

1. 3 scenes from the 3 modes of s4 league
2. Chaser virus coming off the ground (when you do the first round of chaser) -some kind of transition-
3. A person making a dash for the goal in TD -some kind of transition-
4. A person killing some people in DM -white out-
5. A few pictures from the "S4 League Official Artwork Resource Thread" pop out/fade in/whatever one by one
6 After they all pop out the words S4 League which then flips to s5/s4 source whichever you want

heh seems corny but it can always be changed.

which is what a "skip button" is for (which I forgot to mention) :D

Yeah I see where you're going at. But having something that looks like it was worked hard on gives a site an "active/there are people working on this site" feeling to it. Plus makes the aesthetic value go up, but that's just me.

I have to agree with Fake on this one. I'm pretty sure that the Update Log posts show that the site is "active" (not a lot, but it still has the feeling). Also thanks for posting the Official Artwork links, Fake (b^_^)b
