Subject: Lag issues said to be resolved; news about updates

Hello everyone, Reiki here.

Hope you're all doing fine and having a great day. I am at school right now, but I just received word from the Project Organizer of S4 League that Alaplaya has successfully narrowed down the issues. He declined to state what the issue was, but they adjusted the server settings in order to see if things would go through smoothly. So, putting my trust into the man's words, I feel that this case is closed. However, that does not mean it's something to just throw out of your minds. Keep active and if there are more lag issues, make ping plots and send a ticket. We'll keep you updated on more issues to come.

Also, from a statement by the CEO of Burda:IC, the company that owns Alaplaya, S4 League: Eu Division will get a monthly update package. So every month expect new content to roll in. We're sorry that there hasn't been any new developments in KR S4 League, but we'll keep you posted if anything does come up.

Times are tough for S4 League: Eu Division as players mount heavy complaints towards the company in response to claims of ignoring the users feelings towards the PEN issues. As some of you may know, many issues reported were not resolved, specifically the duplication bug and the mission resets. That alone placed an economic strain, but the free trials not being reset kept older players from being able to access a free ride like before. Hopefully, the company can make a decision as to what they plan to do about this serious problem as well as many more mounting.

Subject: S4 League is closed for an upcoming patch

Hey everybody, Reiki here.

I hope you're having a good day! Well, this is a short update for everyone. According to the Head Support, Anna, S4 League will be down at 9 AM tomorrow in Berlin. Resource for this post located here at the Alaplaya Forums. Times for Pacific and Eastern Standard Times will be posted at the end. The estimated time for the servers to be down will be three hours, but it's quite possible it could be longer.

According to Protagonist, these are the predicted changes.
**License Tests will be reset
**Levels 1-6 will receive 5k per level instead of 2k
**Bug Fix: Game crashing as you switch characters in halftime will be fixed
**All rewards will be retroactive, meaning you will receive the bonus even if you are not levels 1-6 (meaning higher than).

Subject: Change to Anti-Farming System confirmed

Hello everyone, Reiki here.

Just wanted to clarify with you all about what's happening now at S4 League concerning the Anti-Farming Prevention System. According to the Project Organizer of S4 League, ChuckB, S4 League has not removed the Anti-Farming Prevention System as people might have hoped, but they have augmented it so that it's more realistic.

Here are the following changes that were made today:

**After 8 hours of cumulative gameplay, users will receive 50% PEN per game.

**After 12 hours of cumulative gameplay, users will receive 0% PEN per game.

Review information for those that are new to this issue:

**It is confirmed that this is not in one setting, but cumulative, meaning over all spent per game.

**The servers reset every 24 hours, meaning midnight in Germany. Berlin is approximately 9 hours ahead of PST and 6 hours ahead of EST so for Americans, the servers reset at 3 o'clock (PST) in the afternoon and 6 o'clock (EST) in the evening respectively.

If you want my take on it, please PM me, but in short, I feel that this is fair to keep people from playing too much to the point of being sick and to prevent people from farming PEN.

I dont even play 8hrs of S4 League so not even new to me, pen is pen to me lol. All night gaming s4 is like crazy to me so well thanks for information ^^

Subject: Halloween Extra PEN Event in S4 League!

Hello everyone, Axium here!

During the midnight on October 30th to the midnight of November 1st (Berlin time on midnight so most likely 3PM PST in US), PEN will be doubled by 150% for users to obtain when playing S4 League in honor of Halloween! More info on event located in News Section of S4 League.

Subject Happy Halloween! S4 down for half hour

Hello everyone, Reiki here!

Just wanted to tell everyone to have a happy halloween and enjoy their weekends! Due to a glitch yesterday, the PEN rate was 150% instead of 50% and it's expected that the staff will be fixing it so things can continue with this event. Do not panic, they're not going to schiest you out of an event. :-P

Now, lets go back to the matter at hand. Starting from 6:30 to 7:00 PST standard time (This would be 9:30 to 10:00 for EST people), S4 League will be down. Just a reminder that the team is not perfect and could be a few minutes longer than usual so be patient please.

Subject: S4 League First Official Patch

Hello everyone, Axium here!

On November 6, 2008 approximately, S4 League will receive its 1st official update including a lot of cool items and features. You may look forward to:
New weapon: Storm Bat
This futuristic baseball bat is highly useful during close range fights. Using it you can perform mighty swing attacks!
New skills: Invisible & Detect
Using the new Invisible skill you're able to hide from your enemies. But be careful not to be exposed by the new Detect skill!
New feature: Combi system
Now you can form a "Combi" with up to five players and thus gain more EXP. So, go gather five friends and fight!
New items: Costume
The shop will be offering some new fashion highlights, for example various Baseball outfits, matching the new Storm Bat.
New bonus: Bonus PEN for all AP items
For every AP item you buy, you will now receive some bonus PEN. Just take a look at the shop. There you will also find the AP items offering additional bonus PEN, which help you to considerably accumulate PEN.

Subject: S4 League Mission Resets!

Hello everyone, Reiki here!

I hope everything is all well and good for all of you. But before we begin, here's the scoop. Today, the weekly missions were reset to default today. That means that in order to go through with the missions, you need to do all of the basic tutorial missions again. That's going to be fun! As well, there's going to be lots of PEN to score so don't forget to play a bit more S4 League this week.

We still have not heard if the problem has been fixed completely, but the language of the Protagonist, or Mr. Kaspers, one of the CEO's of Burda:IC/Alaplaya makes the assumption that the problem is indeed fix. We hope Alaplaya good luck in their continued hosting on S4 League and look forward to bringing you more news.

Subject: S4 League Patch

Hello everyone, Reiki here.

EU S4 League will be closed from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM PST (That's 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM EST) to load the patch for the new month. What we know about the patch is that it's going to provide another function to the game called the "Pumbi Shop" or the Lottery System in other words.

We feel this is not the only information that's provided, but as more information becomes available, we'll provide you with the full list. Thank you again for your patience and don't forget to show me your S4 (In a few hours)!
