I was being serious. To get drunk off of beer quite a few people would get full before it actually happens.
Especially since it's bad to drink on an empty stomach. Nonetheless beer incredibly slow at getting someone drunk.

Unless you want to get tipsy then yeah beer can get you there.
It's also easier to see if someone had too much to drink because beer doesn't taste like something you'd gulp down.
Word of the wise, alcoholic drinks that taste amazing are dangerous. Beer is also one of the cheaper drinks you can get.
