I just wanted to suggest something I really wish you guys did for the S5 Tourneys. (If you already do this or something like it, please ignore this post.)

I think it would be awesome if the judges of the matches would record them and post the videos in a single thread where everyone could see. I find it kind of hard to follow which teams advance and who plays who. (I also would find it nice if there was just one thread, containing links to the videos, as well as having the tourney tree in it.)

I want to see what the pros do. I wanna see why so and so got 300 pts and 4 TDs. I think you could do a lot more with this like commentate and view the game from the players who are doing well at that time, etc. Obviously you wouldnt be able to record every match, but some big games in the winners bracket would be cool. And maybe stream the finals?

Idk I feel like you could promote this more with the people who aren't included. People would start to watch and then maybe want to play like that too.

Btw should keep in mind that tourney matches are not pub-stomp matches and so you probably won't be seeing a single person hard-carrying their team (since they're actually a /team/)

It'd be a hassle to record all of the matches, and not all of the judges would have a good enough computer for recording in a reasonable quality. Also, the recordings would take a massive amount of bytes and take a while to organize and upload all of them. Judges already have to manage with their part of the tournament already.

If you just want to "follow" the tournament, your best bet is to check this thread , it contains the brackets of the last and actual seasons, so you can see who's been beating who.

Should you want more actual insight on matches that are held this week and at what time they are held, you should visit the matchmaker.
In this forum all the matches are being organized and you can check when the particular match of interest is going to be held.


About streaming, The stream is still going on www.livestream.com/channels5 and I announce the exact streaming times on the Alaplaya forum every weekend. We should be getting a sticky thread in the near future for that as well, so that's gonna help I suppose.

I must say though, that I forgot to announce them on S5 as well, so that's something I can improve on.

About recording matches, I usually record all my matches, and when I can't record I try sending eXeD to record in my stead, but rendering and uploading takes about 3 hours per video and it's just a massive workload to upload everything on my mentioned youtube channel.

I will see if this is possible for every language dept on the Ala forums. It's best to have an universal account for this topic, so people like you, Annedroid and whoever else streams can update the topic.

Yea, I've been trying to get a hold of you in the irc today, but we missed eachother. I'm also trying to contact the Alaplaya staff member who is responsible for these kind of things but it's hard to get in touch.

Though I dont necessarily think we need all the languages, since we don't have people who are speaking them and therefore wouldn't be able to update properly, anyway, let's relay this to a better communication method in the future.
