Wall-shooting How acceptable is it?

Because frankly, I've always felt like a cheap fastass just railgunning or Gauss rilfling around a corner.
In fact, I've just been bunnyhopping with my railgun without using the wall for cover.
Of all glitches in S4, it kinda still kinda irks me that people still have the audacity to wall-shoot to save their skins.
I know, it's basic survival, and I've learned to anticipate wall-shooting through Turret practice and all (damn wall-shooters always get me), but it still kinda bothers me that it has to be this way.
Is wall-shooting and wall-sniping still, y'know, tolerated in competitive S4 games and tournaments and such, if not pub matches?

I don't really play anymore, but my general opinion is that wallshooting is just a damage avoidance tactic and people just call it out to taunt people out into the open. A legit strategy with legit counter-strategies.

Only baddies complain about it.
It's part of the game and if you can't avoid it you are just like the ppl who call other ppl "bridge noob".
Unfair?
Cheap?
Wake up!

I'll wallshoot the shit outta anyone LOL. No but srsly...what? No wallshoot all day everyday.

Like previously said it's basic survival and if you don't use it you aren't using the games full mechanics. ( It's acceptable in competitive s4 btw)

It's like not using the plasma swords dash and stun attacks oh wait.............................................

It is somewhat mildly annoying, but gunners would do that in real life too.

To look at it another way, it's impossible to police everyone in every game and keep them from doing it. You just have to roll with it.

Wallshooting is fine by me. If they wanted to remove it they would have done so long ago (Like they did for HMG)

Didn't I make a topic like this already?

Anyways, you can't just tell people not to peek out only their eye and gun around a corner. It'd be pretty naive to expect someone to just stand out in the open and shoot randomly.

Much like how sword players say "ps light and heavy only, no tb dagger hammer (and yet cs is acceptable for some damn reason)", gunners are practically saying "smash rifle only, no melee or wallshooting".

Pretty much. You were asking if wall shooting was an exploit and if it was ban-able.

I think it would make more sense if Pentavision overlayed some sort of "blind-fire" feature over wall-shooting, where your spread pattern would have some random offset per bullet (rendering wall-sniping pretty much useless).

Then again, Pentavision has seen better days in coding.

Sorry, I rly didn't read the first post and I think if you have a decent brain you can derive from my post that it's acceptable for me.

Wall shooting is widely used in the "competitive" games today and in the past, everybody does it at some point, be it intentional or not.

It's a limiting move with drawbacks so it isn't all that good anyway.

In all shooting game there is wallshooting. In realistic shooter its very annoying. Its an exploitation and with all the rage for every action you do or someone else those its not a big deal. Also the one that contredict every thing you do is only to have more avantage on the game limiting you of what you can do.

Of course it's acceptable
It's a feature of the game and should be used if the situation calls for it
Why would you shoot out in the open if you don't have to?

I've always hated wallshooters.

Opposite team members can wallshoot all they want, I even thank them! But when they're in my team...

God how I hate it.

Blind bastards miss most of their shots and can't even pay attention to what's happening. I wish they would all die.
