So about 2 months ago my grafixcard fried and I told my parents i wanna buy a new computer since mines pretty old ( back from 2005) and upgrading it is practically a waste of time now and they told me if i get a job i can buy it. I had the money for it then and said why not buy it now? and they continued to say get a job first. So i got a job at McD's and they instantly told me oh you have to get a paycheck first. I was like okay ~.~". 2 weeks later, i got my first paycheck and i still have enough for the computer i want to buy. Parents just told me i can't buy it now. Like what the fuck? Give me a reason to get a job and such and me to continue to have the money the whole time then at the last minute tell me i can't get it? I might as well quit the job since it's the only reason i got a job in the first place >.> So annoyed atm.

tl;dr: Parents told me to get a job for new computer, I got job and said i can't get it still.

Why are they an obstacle between you and a new graphics card if you have the money to pay for it? Can you not just go out and get it yourself?

I still live in my parents home, I still obey their rules any online purchases need to be told to them. I'd be screwed if it just randomly showed up one day. and its a new comp not grafixcard.

Write one letter to them explaining why you want a new computer and reminding them of what they said you needed to do to get it, and of the fact that you did indeed do it.
Then state how you feel it's unfair for them to manipulate you and go back on their word.

It's important that you write it calmly, and that you write it and not say it.

Writing it calmly will make them more receptive, and if you write it then they're forced to finish reading before they can respond to you (whereas if you just tell them they could interrupt you at any time).

If at that point they still don't let you get a new comp. then just accept that your parents are unfair and move on.

-edit-
It's important to be polite in your letter too, but use clear statements that they can't refute such as "I feel it's unfair" instead of "I think it's unfair".
They can disagree with what you think is fair, but they can't possibly tell you not to feel it's unfair.

I find it crazy that at 18 you're not allowed to decide what to buy with your own earned money...

It's not the worst situation, but I think your parents aren't taking you seriously. You're on your own to find the best way for that.

How about explaining to them your reasoning behind buying a new computer. That would work for mine, if they would ever care for what I spend my money on.

Pretty much this. I agree with the letter idea though. Worth a shot.

Why would you buy a 2k pc if you play s4? There aren't even any games available that you could play with such a computer. I must say that it's a waste of money to buy such a computer at this point and therefor agree with your parents.

Seriously, think about what you want to do with it, and since you're still 18 I highly doubt that there is anything you would want or are able to do with a computer that requires you to spend 2k on it in order to do it.

A computer for about 1k or 800 $ should really be sufficient for all your needs.

I wasn't entirely aware of how much you wanted to spend on your computer, but at the rate that parts go down in price nowadays, you should just buy a decent shell and upgrade over time rather than go all out. Your parents are not right in stopping you from buying a new computer, but you have to understand the following: If you had a child, and they had 2000 dollars to buy something that, to you, is the equivalent of a toaster, would you let them?

Just give some thought; they're just looking out for you.
