There are some funny looking and silly characters but honestly one piece story and character development is so good. You have to keep in mind the show was started 10 years ago so the beginning episodes are sometimes silly, but still good. Currently, the show has matured with the audience and is still my favorite anime after all this time. The animation has improved over time as well (obviously, it has been 10 years so shit looks dope now)

But you know those moments when a character gets SO MAD or shows up and sees his buddies getting ript, and you know that character is gonna do something ridiculous in a second and you can't help but smile and get shivers and look around your pc in hopes nobody saw you doing that? Well thats what one piece is fullll of, the most recent arc was nuts. I'm clearly a fanboy but I highly recommend it, even if you have to read the manga and just watch the anime on the epic parts in order to catch up, it's totally worth it.

Bobobo is straight comedy. One Piece is adventure and shonen straight up. It's the DBZ you're okay with showing your kids. Even though some of the back stories are real sad and severe, but it makes you really click with the characters and see their resolve. I think if there's any manga/anime worth watching, it's One Piece. Every episode is pretty good and even the filler is good. The G8 arc was really well done.

One Piece is pretty good, at first it will seem really weird but once you get to the first major arc which is the Alabasta Kingdom one things turn out pretty good.

Comparing it to Bobobo? =/, Even if I sound a bit biased it's nowhere near Bobobo as this has some real serious story, goals and intense flashbacks

I would say just try giving it a chance at first it will not be too eye catching since like Reiki and Caution have said it has been 14 years since the manga came out so... Just deal with it.

The anime has 12 years since released so obviously the quality wont be the best.

Honestly, I won't "Watch" "One Piece" TO MANY EPISODES TO CATCH UP TO D:! I mean I would watch "Katekyo Hitman Reborn" considering it only has like 203 episodes but One Piece @_@....to much rofl
